In case of large files, Data Preparation Free Desktop will cut at 30 000 rows by default (see&nbsp; <A href="http://community.talend.com:80/t5/Data-Quality-and-Preparation/Limit-30-000-rows-our-response/m-p/19056#M14)">http://community.talend.com:80/t5/Data-Quality-and-Preparation/Limit-30-000-rows-our-response/m-p/19056#M14)</A>. And a 3.5 MB file is definitely not an issue so the problem you are facing is not related to the size. <BR />Can you share your logs?
