Job compile error: org.talend.oracle cannot be resolved

After having added a new tDBInput (Oracle) to an existing and functional job, I get the following error message upon running the job:

org.talend.designer.runprocess.ProcessorException: Job compile errors 
At least job "NPIv3" has a compile errors, please fix and export again.

I've imported the missing libraries according to chapter "Installing external modules manually using the Modules view", but to no avail.

In addition, I've tried to re-import the project into a new workspace as suggested by sagarbhot, but to no avail.

Please note, that there have been other tDBInput components to the very same database in this job before without any issue.

What else could I try?

Could you please clarify in which Talend version/edition you are? Did you your install your studio completely?

Hi Sabrina,

I've added the version information afterwards, but apparently my edit was ignored by the system.

I'm using version 7.1.1 and the installation completed successfully. I also would like to note that I there are connections to different Oracle DB versions (11g and 12c) in the same job. Everything works apart from reading fields of datatype TIMEZONE WITH TIMESTAMP. Even inserting/updating these fields no trouble.

Sorry for delay! We try our best to reply as many posts as we can.

So far, if you want to store date and time information in Oracle, you really only have two different options for the column's datatype - DATE and TIMESTAMP.

DATE - has the ability to store the month, day, year, century, hours, minutes, and seconds. It is typically good for representing data for when something has happened or should happen in the future. The problem with the DATE datatype is its' granularity when trying to determine a time interval between two events when the events happen within a second of each other.

TIMESTAMP - is an extension of the Date datatype that can store date and time data (including fractional seconds).

Would you mind posting your component schema setting screenshot here?
