Hello, I am using tMap component to compare 2 big datasets that come from a Redshift database and a MySQL one (sql queries in tDB_input components). I am working in replicating some tables' code, and now I am doing my data quality check using Talend Open Studio for Data Integration (maybe Talend Open Studio for Data quality would be more sufficient for my problem, however we use this for now in my team). I am now literally passing Java variable expressions in tMap's Var pane (between the input and output panes of the MapEditor) one by one. I have all my variable expressions stored in a csv file, from which I now copy and paste one by one. I would like to know if there is a capability in Talend, to pass variables in Var pane of tMap from a file directly (like an import ), and not by hard typing them one by one.

Also, AutoMap button is not properly working (not responding actually). I think I read somewhere else that AutoMap is not responding for when there are variable expressions I am pressing it before inserting my Variables in the Var pane, so that the output dataset of tMap has the same column names as the input ones (both databases give datasets of exactly the same column names ). Thank you for your help!

Hello,

So far, it is not possible to pass variables in Var pane of tMap from a file directly without "Import" item.

With your question 2, I made a simple testing on V 7.3 and the automap button is working well.

Could you please give us some trouble screenshots or some detailed steps to repro you issue? Which will be helpful for us to address your issue.

Best regards

Sabrina
