Compiling Talend Open Studio from source

(I know this has been asked before but the answers provided seem no longer valid and I have been in dialogue with others, none of whom have been able to get a clean build to run)
Has anyone managed to get a current (or recent) source release to compile up on any platform and if so could you provide the steps required to be taken? I have tried to run according to the pages at https://github.com/Talend/studio-se-master#build-the-open-source-studio (as have others) and, while it will run much of the build, I have not been able to get it to complete successfully, there appear to be many dependencies or configuration issues, despite pulling down the latest snapshots.
Any input, guidance or suggestions would be very gratefully received!

Are you pulling down Talend 6.3? Could you please post the error( many dependencies or configuration issues ) you are getting on forum?
