topic Backup Talend jobs? in Talend Studio

Hi
I would like to know if I have understand the difference between "Export items" and "Export Job Scripts" correctly.
"Export Items"
"Export items" creates *.properties and *.item files for all versions of a job
These are xml-files that defines how the job is presented and handled in TOS.
As far as I understand you need to have TOS to be able to use/import a job exported in this manner.
"Export Job Scripts"
"Export Job Scripts", on the other hand, creates java files, shellscripts and batchfiles which lets you run the job without using TOS.
As far as I understand such an export is of no use to TOS, you can not import these exported Job scripts into TOS again,
they are useful for running created jobs outside the TOS environment.
Backup Talend jobs
Conclusion: to backup Talend jobs you should use "Export Items",
because you could then import the jobs into any TOS - am I correct?

Hello guy

because you could then import the jobs into any TOS - am I correct?

Yes, you are right?Give you other info, all the jobs are forward compatible, that means you can export a job from an old version and import it into a new version, but not vice versa?
Best regards
