Pervasive Database From SAGE / PASTEL Accounting package Connection

Hi Community. Completely excited Newbee here.

I want to link to a Pervasive Database, and update it onto a MySQL database.

I have installed the Pervasive Software and have a 32bit driver, which I can use in ODBC to link to the tables in the Pervasive Database, using Pervasive Control Centre.

But I have no idea where to start that journal using Talend.

In what I have read and searched, users are referring to a JDBC (which I have no idea about or how to setup). Also the instructions are very broad, in that they do not necessarily address a JDBC using Pervasive connection.

Could someone either give be the secret to how to setup a Pervasive link? Or steer me to some reading material that may assist?

Hello,

Generic Odbc is deprecated in 6.0 since java 8 not support it any more.
