I get dates which is in String with different format's(YYYYmmDD) and (MMddYYYY) etc.

I want to have the date value in string with only one format (YYYYmmDD).

How can i achieve it in the Tmap. assuming the column name as StartDateTime

Hi,

Could you please refer below link?

https://community.talend.com/t5/Design-and-Development/how-to-parse-various-date-formats/td-p/140825

Personally I do not agree allowing source systems to send the dates in whatever format they want especially in an enterprise environment. There should be agreed formats between various systems and if the format is not correct, it should be fixed at the starting point itself rather than changing in intermediate layer.

Warm Regards,
Nikhil Thampi

Please appreciate our Talend community members by giving Kudos for sharing their time for your query. If your query is answered, please mark the topic as resolved 🙂
