Setting up remote workspace

Experts,

We have installed our talend DI on linux. We have create a remote connection with workspace pointing to local desktop. Is it possible to create the workspace on linux and use that workspace through Talend Studio to develop and store jobs on linux?

Hello,

Are you installing talend open studio for data integration? The remote project( SVN or Git managed project) feature will be available in talend subscription solution.

With talend open studio, the projects are stored in local.

Hi Sabrina,

We have installed the talend licensed version on linux and talend studio on windows machine. We have set it up the bitbucket details to store the code developed in bit bucket. When I am creating the connection can we point the workspace to linux box instead of local machine?

Please help in replying to this.

Hello,

With your talend licensed version, you can create a connection to the repository on which the project is stored(remote connection).

When working collaboratively on a project, many users could access an item in the shared repository or at the project level simultaneously.

The remote workspace(shared driver) will be locked by the first person who use it. So you won't be able to work at the same time with a co-worker on this workspace.
