MySQL native JSON data type database column, how to best work with it in talend studio?

If a MySQL table has a native JSON data type column, what would be the best way to work with it in talend studio? How do I make sure the written data gets the database's proper column type?

Hi,

You can read it as a String and can parse it further using Talend's JSON components from Palette.
