Talend open studio for data integration 7.3.1 installed on windows 11

Hello everyone,

Is it safe to use talend open studio for data integration 7.3.1 on windows 11, and import from there some projects built on windows 10 with the same version of talend ?

I don't see any trouble but am worrying about if there is something special i should consider before going further.

I had to change my PC (letting the windows 10) and should for the moment continue with this version of talend (using java 😎 in the new PC (windows 11) before planning any upgrade, due to some deadlines.

Hello,

Talend Jobs support cross-platform execution. You can develop your Jobs on one machine, export the project, and then move it to another machine to execute.

So that is to say also that Talend Open Studio for data integration 7.3.1, is compatible with windows 11, right ?

Here is the install file name of what i executed on windows 11 (i found the setup file on my old PC) :

TOS_DI-Win32-20200219_1130-V7.3.1.exe

and here the lauching file name :

TOS_DI-win-x86_64

does it seem right ?

According to this online documentation

Windows 11 is list in the compatible operating systems table.

We do not package a 32 bit executable for starting the studio anymore. Talend is supporting only the 64 bit version. That's why only the 64 bit executable for starting the studio is provided. This is because a lot of the third party libraries in the studio runs on 64-bit Java.

Are you able to run the application TOS_DI-win-x86_64.exe successfully in your windows 11?

It seems that the link refers to cloud products , i am using talend open studio for data integration 7.3.1 in windows 11 but not for cloud purposes, our company deploy solutions on remote virtual machines...

Yes i am able to run TOS_DI-win-x86_64.exe successfully in my windows 11, but i want to know if there isn't anything to worry about before going further ?

But is the windows 11 OS Supported by this version ?

My new laptop came with windows 11, and the old PC cannot be used anymore ...

Since we have some work emergencies to deal with , we didn't plan any migration process about java nor talend and it would be complicated for us by these times ...

What would you recommend me to do ?

everything seems to be ok after executing the lauching file and i imported my projects from the old PC also but i wonder if i won't have any surprise due to possible compatibility issues ...

Hello,

In the documentation we provide a list of operating systems that are supported, in the sense that we do provide an SLA and technical support for them. This doesn't mean other (non-listed) operating systems will not work but simply we won't necessarily be equipped to help you with any issue you may face with them.
