Installation of Talend on a Virtual Machine

I am new to Talend and I wish to install and run talend on my virtual machine. But, I have a few doubts?
1. Is the installation process same?
2. Are there any performance related bottlenecks of deploying Talend in a VM for production?

In all cases, you can just consider that use in a VM, is the same as install in one computer directly.
For the performance issue, it will depends on which version do you used.
I think it is OK without any bottlenecks if you use community version, .

It is a valuable information.
But I have a query on the above, as I asked, I am planning to use Talend on VM. So, what is the impact/issue if I use this VM as my Production machine and deploy Talend (Enterprise Edition) on it. My doubt is specifically for Production scenario.

Hi,
For the Talend Enterprise subscription version, certainly installation of talend on a virtual machine is slower than on the local machine. Pay close attention on the setting of your memory and your network.
I think the biggest Challenge is the work performance. It's ok as long as it's for small use of the product (i mean not too many users), but if too many users it will be a little slow.
If you use Talend Enterprise subscription version, we provide you with support portal on which you can report a ticket for your issue and our colleagues from support team will schedule a webex with you to resolve your issue.
