    <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;I have a requirement to create a custom component. &lt;BR /&gt;I have opened a 'Component Designer' perspective and create a new component.&lt;BR /&gt;I would like to run the component in the designer. When I right click on component and say 'Run as Job' &lt;BR /&gt;it is not working.&lt;BR /&gt;Can anybody tell me how to run or debug the component in the designer.&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks &amp;amp; Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Syed</description>

&lt;BR /&gt;Push the component to palette first, and then use the component in a job like you used other components.

&lt;BR /&gt;When I Right Click on component and say 'Push Components to Palette' then I get the message as 'User Component Folder is not Set'.
&lt;BR /&gt;Can you please suggest where should I set the 'User Component Folder'

&lt;BR /&gt;"user component folder" is the place where the custom components are stored, if you have already set user component folder, the custom components will be loaded into TOS! It is a general folder, you can create a folder let's call "user component" under D:/talend and set this path.
