Help with Data Type Reset

I am very new to Talend Data Integration and trying to do a simple source to target load. In the T Map there are source fields that keep resetting to BigDecimal after I change to Double. What could be causing this? In the source, I imported the schema and after making initial edits in T Map, it reverted to Built in schema / table.

I keep getting errors such as this:

@Todd Hendreks , It is problem with you directly connected bigdecimal to Double data type ,so you just change in source side also change to Double and you will not get this error.

source side means, if your job has tDBInput ,tMap and tDBOutput

then you need to get as Double from tDBInput and which should be same tMap and tDBOutput.

Hi -

I found the fix though it was not as obvious. I had to edit the schema in the "link" between source and Tmap...I changed data type in Tmap but it kept reverting back...or some columns at least.
