Using git, too many files!

I have been using git-hub to manage my project, I am having issues when committing projects and submitting a PR. There are 1000's of files that we are not currently using, especially settings files for mapping components (ex. TALENDMDM/.settings/mappings/mapping_Cassandra_datastax.xml). I have tried to edit the .gitignore file however there are so many items it seems like a daunting task. Is there an easy way to ignore settings for components we are not using, git is becoming unusable and there is confusion from the Merge Request-approver about what to really look at.

Evidently you need to Manage all PR's and conflicts using only the Talend Studio Product. Using Talend Studio has resolved this issue.
