Secure API endpoint without ESB?

Hello,

My organization utilizes Talend Studio and the API Designer/Tester but does not have Talend ESB. Is there any way to secure an API endpoint without ESB? I see various options in the API Designer but all of my searches on how to implement this return guides/tutorials assuming you have ESB installed.

Any information would be appreciated.

What's your security requirement? Are you trying to secure access to the service? Rest API? More information will be helpful for us to understand your requirement very well.
