Salesforce Schema Not Including Custom Fields

When I describe the schema for a Salesforce object, like Accounts, the resulting schema in Talend only includes the standard fields, not any of the custom fields I've added to the Accounts object. Is this a limitation of the free version of Talend?

Hi,

I have faced a similar problem but not sure if there is any other way to solve it.
I have redefined input schema based on the custom fields I was interested in, and output displayed results for whatever schema I defined.
So typically I believe, talend prints whatever the input schema is, irrespective of our SOQL query.
FYI: For fields like Account.name from an opportunity "collection", try defining the input schema as Collection_Account_name and it should work.

Hi all - Here are some screenshots:

Right click on the connection in the Repository, and click Retrieve Salesforce Modules (screencast.com/t/3DPoXWtSJ1)

Choose the Account object. Note the number of fields shows 36, which is the number of standard fields on the Account object (screencast.com/t/nWDqX4W6LKIK)

Expand the Account object created in the repository, note that all fields are standard fields (screencast.com/t/OpqHUZZ5vy)

I'm using Talend Open Studio for Data Integration, version 6.0.0 (screencast.com/t/CBdXrhiXN)

Any ideas what's going on?

This issue is the same as mine. I upgraded to version 6.0 and I can't seem to retrieve the custom fields of the Account object. On the screenshot below, it only retrieved 36 fields which are standard fields. I have 50+ custom fields in the Account object and they are not there.

Looks like the root cause is https://jira.talendforge.org/browse/TDI-31599. For now use the API URL ending in 25.0
