topic XML metadata and context in Talend Studio

Hello,

I have a problem in Talend when I want to create matadata for xml files.
When I want to create a new XML metadata on input XML, I have to choose a file path and then, encoding is automatically generated.

On the next step, I can export my parameters as context. But if I want to create 10 differents xml files with the same filePath but different XPathQuery, I will have to create 10 contexts. So I can reuse an exististing context.

But If I use an existing context, there is a bug. I choose the field "path" and "encoding"

When it's validated, the xPathQuery is ok. But not the file path nor the encoding which should be like "context.Encoding_utf8"

How could I do that without having 10 differents contexts with 10 same encoding variable ?

Thank you for your help.

Hi

It looks like a bug, I can reproduce the issue "using an existing context variable does not work for the file path and encoding fields in previous window". Please open a Jira issue to R&D team for further investigation.

Regards
