log4j2 Deactivate log4j in specific components

Hi,

Is it possible to dis/enable the log4j in components on a case by case basis? I know there is an option to turn it on for all of them but there are some cases, mainly in regards to database related components (Inputs, Connections etc) that I'd like to disable.

Is there a way to do this or is it just not possible?

Hello,

Here is an official support article and it mentions the filter feature which you can use with Appenders to keep messages that are not of interest out of the logs
