ftp get not working receiving error when retrieving from root directory

The ftp connection is working but when I try to download files from the root directory I receive this error message:

tFTPGet_1 Cannot invoke "com.jcraft.jsch.ChannelSftp.getHome()" because "c_tFTPGet_1" is null

I have tried ".", "./","/" and " "

Image won't load for some reason. The error message says "copying files to remote side failed. Requested action not taken. File unavailable" on WinSCP.

Support was able to fix it for me. We had to change it to FTPS then point to the java certs and enter a password.
