tPOP error on Server but not on local machine

I have a tPOP job that works perfectly on my local machine on Port 110, I am able to log in and extract the emails but when the job is deployed to the server it gives

"login failed at com.sun.mail.pop3.pop3store.protocolconnect(pop3store.java:146) at javax.mail.service.connect(service.java:275) at " error

I use updated version 7.4 of Talend in my local machine but the server still has an older version 7.1. Could this be the reason.

What's execution server are you using to deploy your job? Job server? Could you please give us more detailed steps about your deployment process?

File / virtual server. I copy the built job folder and paste in the server then execute the .bat file to test if its working on the server

Did you follow up this online documentation about: TalendHelpCenter: Building a Job as a standalone Job?

In the case of a Plain Old Java Object export, if you want to reuse the Job in Talend Studio installed on another machine, make sure you selected the Items check box. These source files (.item and .properties) are only needed within Talend Studio.

Turns out we needed the new version of talend in the server as well
