I realized a strange behavior of scheduled jobs and plans in Talend Management Console. Here is the schedule:

Daily (Start: 2020-10-27)

Everyday

00:40-23:59 Every 120 minutes

(UTC +01:00) Berlin

This worked perfectly until 2020-10-25 02:40 - the job failed which we expected. After the daylight saving time change the job started 1 hour earlier:

Stopping the schedule and resubmit it solved the problem. This workaround produces a high effort for all our job and plan schedules though!

Is this behavior known and is Talend planning to correct it?

Hello,

There is no related jira issue on talend bug tracker.

Are you using Remote Engine or pipeline? Is there any detailed step to reproduce this strange behavior in TMC?

Best regards

Sabrina

Good morning Sabrina,

we're using remote engines; the one in question is version 2.8.1.

Reproducing this behavior is not difficult, but requires some patience: we'll just have to wait until the next daylight saving time change in spring 2021 :). I see no chance to simulate such a time change on TMC.

Best regards

Norbert

Hello,

Feel free to create a jira issue on talend bug tracker and in this way our developers from TMC team will check it to see if it is a bug.

Best regards

Sabrina
