-If you want to encrypt / decrypt when communicating, you can use the components "tDataEncrypt" and "tDataDecrypt" to encrypt the communication.

I would like to know if Talend Open Studio for Data Integration (Version 7.3.1) encrypts when communicating with Database.

Hello,

Actually, components "tDataEncrypt" and "tDataDecrypt" are available in talend subscription solution not open source.

Here are related component references: TalendHelpCenter: tDataDecrypt

You can also write a routine to encrypt and decrypt stuff where you can use the standard java encryption mechanism.
