I need to develop a process to validate the layout of an Excel file using the tFileInputExcel component.

For example:

I have a metadata defined with 5 columns, and during the process the loaded file can contain more or less columns that were pre-defined previously. The Job must run and generate in the rendered file a new column with a message stating that the layout is incorrect.

Could they understand?

Can someone help me?

Hi Sabrina

For example:

Input File (Type excel with extesion xlsx)

The input file has the pre-defined columns below.

Product_code | Product_Name | Price | Quantity

If the user places the file to run outside of the predefined column layout, the ETL should generate an error stating that the file layout is wrong. For example.

Product_code | Product_Name | Quantity

Notice in the example above that the file layout that the user ran, is missing the Price column.
