Best practise for external context variables

Hi ,

I would like to know the best source for passing context variables(that Talend suggests using). Is it better to pass values from an external file or a database? Someone let me know please..

Hi,

At any point of time, I always prefer a database over a file to refer the data. The reason is that file is a single point of failure and anyone can access the information easily.
