deploying jobs on cloud - no cloud engine

Hi everyone,

so one of our clients have subscription for talend cloud and while I was trying to publish jobs to cloud, it threw the below error

"deploy failed... exceeded the limit of employment attempts.There are no available engines"

Only then I realized that there are no cloud engines at all. We created a remote engine and there are lots of token left

The default environment also shows there are no engines allocated and no engines left to allocate. I dint understand how can that be the case. From what I understand, cloud engines are available by default and doesn't have to be created by the user.

can you please let me know what is happening in my case?

And my other question is , is its Okay to run jobs that do not have any on premise sources using remote engine?

Because I do not have any cloud engine I'm thinking of using the remote engine itself.

Hello,

To run the flows on Talend Integration Cloud, you will need either a Cloud Engine or a Remote Engine and the appropriate license.

Hi @xdshi ,

I understand there has be a cloud or remote engine for execution. But I'm surprised by the fact that there are 0 cloud engines( none of it is being used as well ) in a subscription version. Im guessing there has to be at least one cloud engine by default.

We have created a remote engine. But for some jobs we don't really use any on-premise source and so we think of using the cloud engine.

But we don't have one and are forced to use the remote engine. Can I know the reason for this?
