Talend 8 too slow

I've found v8 to be unbearably slow in git manual commit mode (which we have to use otherwise we end up with too many junk commits from Talend in normal mode) . Every time i open a job or save it pops up saying it's refreshing the git repo, also when you open a db component with sql the app freezes whilst it formats the sql text colour. Shouldn't these be background tasks and not interrupt the dev flow?

Try increasing the minimum and maximum heap space (-Xms) in the Talend-studio.ini(configuration settings file)

I've had them set like this

-Xms4G
-Xmx16G

since day one.

Has no effect on the two things i mentioned.

I also get this when publishing, it takes absolutely ages because talend is blocking itself doing......things?

Try restarting your VDI and Talend studio. If necessary, create a new workspace and point to it.
