Hello

From a design perspective, I suggest you don't use tFileCopy_1 with "Remove source file" option. Instead, use tFileDelete to delete the files later. Instead, opt for tFileDelete to delete the files later. This ensures that the file is not still being processed or used at the time of deletion.

Regards

Talend job failure near tFileCopy

Hi,

The Talend job is intermittently failing at the tFileCopy component with the following error:

tFileCopy_1 - The source file "\\abc\System\EIX\PRD\abc\Outbound\abc_2025-12-30_013404.csv" could not be removed from the folder because it is open or you only have read-only rights.

We verified that the file is not open or locked. The file is successfully copied to the Archive location and is also removed from the source directory. Despite this, the job still fails with an error indicating that the file could not be removed.

No code changes have been made to this job in the past year. The issue started occurring after migrating the jobs from Talend 7.3.1 to Talend 8. The failure is intermittent, not occurring every day, and we are observing the same behavior across multiple production jobs.

Thanks!
