I am planning to create a custom component for Tableau Extract creation. The first question came in my mind was ' How to capture the schema details from the link? '

say for example, my job design is

text file -----------

excel file ----- tJoin ---Filter ---<New Custom Component> -- How to get the schema details from the filter link

oracle ----------

Are you trying to use javajet?

Here is a new framework for custom components where we can create the component from a Component Kit instead of Javajet.
