How can we pass non ASCII characters in Talend

I am trying to pass registry, copy-right and trademark symbols to target, I have removed all non-printable characters but not sure how I need to pass registry, copy-right and trademark symbols.

I have tried to use UTF-8 but it's not working? Can you please suggest if anyone aware of it?

While converting Non-ASCII character it's converted to "??"

I've been using Talend to move data from both Files and databases - some of the data having Kanji characters with no problems. What is the source and targets of the data, files, databases? I have set my Studio to be UTF-8 and it seems to work fine.

The only time I've had issues is when I move test data files around and having edited them the editor is not set to UTF-8, but to Windows-1252.
