If status column is updated insert current date in another column

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to design this behaviour
When the value of a status column changes I want to update the lastStatusChange date type column with the current date
I've looked at SCDs, but I don't think this behaviour fits into the types; it's not really a type 3 SCD because I don't want to keep the old value, all I want is the date that the value last changed

What about the good old tMap and join conditions?
You could create a main flow (your probably changed data) and a lookup flow and in the lookup flow you use the key fields + the column (lets call it col2) what changes you want to know.
Now create a inner join condition over the key and the col2 and create an output flow with the attribute inner join reject.
This output flow now outputs all datasets where the cols (your column to test) has been changed.
You could add in this output flow the timestamp column and set as expression: TalendDate.getCurrentDate().
