in the tRunJob component I have the option "Use an independent process to run child job" as unchecked. but still my job gives the following exception.
after getting this exception I will check and then uncheck the option, save the job, again run... it works fine... looks like weired.

java.lang.RuntimeException: The socket for statistics function is unavailable in job
Usually, please check the tRunJob, it should uncheck the option "Use an independent process to run child job".

hi,
I am getting the same thing. The job has been running fine, now I get :-
java.lang.RuntimeException:The socket for statistics function is unavailable in job lwa_base.c1j_rename_tsv_files_0_1.c1j_rename_tsv_files.
Usually, please check the tRunJob, it should uncheck the option "Use an independent process to run child job".
The step is trying just trying ot run a mapping.
I am using 4.1.2.

Looks like https://community.talend.com/t5/Design-and-Development/MySQL-Input-Foreach-Loops/td-p/93209 but while it happened to me in v4.0.2, I can't remember it happening since we upgraded to v4.0.3 and you are using v4.1.2...
