How To create charts from mysql data.

what are the settings to be carried out in edit schema .of tLineChart component ?

STEP1 : I have taken a csv file as input. tFileInputDelimited component
STEP2: I have mapped it to mysqloutput component. which stores data in a table .(Up To STEP2 SUCCESSFUl data is successfully stored in table in database).
STEP3: I have taken tLineChart Component and mapped it from mysqloutput component.(here problem arises).
Now how i have to sychronize two schemas(i mean tLineChart and mysqloutput).?
How can i create charts from mysql data?
please provide me some information regarding this issue.

Hi
tLineChart component requires three columns, serie, x and y. The schema of this component is read only. If the incoming schema is different, you can use a tMap before tLineChart to adjust the schema to match the target schema. For example:
tFileInputDelimited--main--tMysqlOutput--main--tMap--tLineChart.
on tMap, add a output table and define three columns: serie, x and y. Link the corresponding column from input flow to output column.

This is a compilation error in the job generated code, the method add () requires two input paramter with double type, but now you pass two data with string type.

The method add(double x, double y) requires input data with double type, see http://www.jfree.org/jfreechart/api/javadoc/org/jfree/data/xy/XYSeries.html. In Talend job, you have to define the data type of X, Y columns as double type on the schema of tLineChart component, see my screenshots.

Hey guys. This task should be done with a dedicated tool like JasperReports or BIRT. These tools lets you create professional looking charts.
