Talend ESB - how it works with an external system

Hi all,

I'm new in Talend ESB and I would understand how does it function when an external system exposes a web service.

I need to create jobs that update in real time a database. We can schedule a job in Talend ESB that will start when it recognize that the web service is exposed by an external service?

How does it function?

in TAC/Talend ESB you expose Service (not schedule a Job)?
in Talend ESB you can create a Webservice who update a database.
In Talend You can Create a Job Who update a database. this job can be scheduled in TAC.

Ok, do you know if it is also possible to recall a Webservice exposed by an external system?
If yes, I imagine there is a particuliar component to do this, right?
