topic log generation in Talend Studio

log generation

Hi all

can I create a sublog with tLog Catcher+ tFlowmeterCatcher+tStatCatcher and then call this subjob in another job to catch all the logs from it?

my subjob is GETLOGS (contains tLog Catcher, tFlowmeterCatcher, tStatCatcher)

main job conatins some component + call my GETLOG subjob to collect logs

Hello,

From your description, you are looking for creating a child job with tLog Catcher+ tFlowmeterCatcher+tStatCatcher as GETLOGS, which can be called by tRunJob component.

If you want to catch the log message from the main job without creating many log components, it is very convenient to set the log in job view to output the record into file or table.

Many thanks for your replay. Yes I found that in talend

File ---> Edit Project properties--->Job setting --->Stat Logs

But this will create a single log file for all jobs in the project. Could you please explain me your suggested approche in details ?
