My Talend Job on Windows Scheduler keep showing running

Hi Team,

I have schedule the Talend job on windows and keep showing running.

I know it is giving Java error but I couldn't able to understand why job in Task scheduler is keep showing running.

I am using TOS.

you may have to add exit commande into bat file or into your commande line.

@fdenisok...what you suggest if I move to Jenkins tool to schedule the Talend .bat file as this will have inbuild functionality to show status and even send email when Job fails.Isn't Jenkins is better than Windows scheduler? Both will be free only.

it's a bit hard to remotely debug windows tasks….
we do not have your batch neither your configuration or your job….

Surely, I understand.

But just want to clarify which one is better scheduler Windows Vs Jenkins in terms of Talend Job scheduling.

Hi,

If you are using the job for an enterprise customer, the recommendation will be to use Enterprise flavour of Talend where you will get scheduling modules from Talend itself.

Coming back to your query, you can use both schedulers (or even a third one other than from your list) as long as you have proper exit strategies in the script. Please also check whether you have added tDie component in the job to catch and raise the errors.
