Hello,
I have a job where I need to process N files in a directory then move each file and update its name to reflect the Day/Time it was processed,
I would normaly do this by adding/embeding a Variable in the destination file name
Can I define a Global variable like "DATE_TIME" and use / reference that variable in tFileCopy to build the Destination File Name, concatinating the Old file name + DATE_TIME to create a new file name ?
Thanks
      Don

Hello again -
As soon as you ask the question and keep looking, you find an answer...
www.talendforge.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=39757
The Reference in that post to "Using SetGlobal to get and set Date / Time then use them" helped... now All i need to do inow is set a Variable to Hold the FIle name to be manipulated.
