tSAPTableInput: Field IV_MAX_STRING_LENGTH is not a member of INPUT

Hi, I'm trying to query an SAP table though tSAPTableInput.

I have installed followed the guide and set everything up. I can search for tables, however, I cannot preview the table content, and when running the job I get the following error:

com.sap.conn.jco.JCoRuntimeException: (127) JCO_ERROR_FIELD_NOT_FOUND: Field IV_MAX_STRING_LENGTH is not a member of INPUT

I'm using TOS 7.1.1. This is working on another server of ours with TOS 6.4.1.

Can it be related to the fact that the Z_TALEND_READ_TABLE was installed with the transport shipped with 6.4.1, and that this RFC isn't compatible with 7.1.1?

it could be the reason

try to check function version in both of the studio , <Talend_Studio>\plugins\org.talend.libraries.sap_<version>\resources.

In the list (https://help.talend.com/reader/EzcOUWFh6c6n0SIYmWapAw/3OWU9XLT4j9KWiTRXjMRhQ) versions higher than 6.4 are not listed. The 7.1.1 does ship with the SAP function modules, however.

Can you please point me to more recent documentation?

I am not able to open recent version link(Documentation error). You can
open support ticket to Talend as you have subscription version.

My assumption was confirmed by the Talend support; the SAP transport package need to be in alignment with the Talend Version.
