Hello Talend Community,

I'm a unconditional Talend ETL / ESB user for long time and It's a very user-friendly and powerful platform to develop Jobs in Java. So, I congratulate the Talend technical team for its great job.

I open this topic just to suggest some improvements to be more efficient when developing Jobs :

allow to maximize schema popup
allow to copy-paste context variables between different Jobs
add an option (checkbox) to init a String context variable to null (and not empty as today)
add clic + short-key combination to quickly link components with triggers type (only right-clic allows to link components with a main row type)

That's all for the moment.

an other idea :
when I click on a component in the Outline tab, this component gets the focus in the design tab

My contribution to your post: automagically inherit schema from tHashOutput when referenced into a tHashInput.

Some more improvements very useful :

add an option in Map components to duplicate an output with the same configuration (input mapping, schema)
in tXMLMap component, add an option to export a output XML schema
