Hello together,
we have one technical user for Talend which we use to connect with our Oracle database.
The tables are in different schemes, but the technical user has grants for SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE to the tables.
Also tables LOGCATCHER and FLOWCATCHER in a different scheme. We have created synonyms for these tables.
We also activated tLogCatcher and tFlowCatcher in the project preferences.
The Synonyms we have imported us Metadata.
Unfortunately we got an error starting our jobs. It is an Oracle that we have no rights in this tables.
Is there a problem using synonyms for LOGCATCHER or FLOWCHATCHER?
Using synonyms in jobs is no problem. We can insert or update data.
We are using version 5.6.1 of Talend.
Thanks for information,
Gimli

Hi Sabrina,
it seems that Talend tries to find the table FLOWMETERCATCHER and don't uses the Synonym we have created for this table.
That's why Talend tries to create this table. But the database user which Talend uses has no rightsto create tables. Thats
why we got an Oracle-Error: ORA-01031: insufficient privileges.

After we give the database user the rights to create tables, Talend tries to create the table, but got the error
ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object
That is right because a synonyme with this name exists.

The question is why Talend didn't uses this synonym.
Kind regards,
Gimli

Hi,
Are you using open studio or subscription product? Does this issue repro on the latest version 6.1?
Is it working well without using synonym in oracle?
Best regards
Sabrina

Hi Sabrina,
we use subscription product. We didn't test with 6.1 because we didn't have installed 6.1 here.
If we use it without synonym and use table instead it works fine.
Kind regards,
Stefan
