Hi

I have a flat file with more than 300 columns. I don't want to manually type all the columns in the schema. But the schema itself is in a positional file, so from this, Is there a way to create schema's from a flat file containing the layout?

My file doesn't have any headers, the whole metadata information is in a separate positional file, that's why i'm looking for a solution to "create a schema from a file". I came across this link, but it seems like i need to change the schema file layout,
https://help.talend.com/reader/qsVMGPxPzq7IQ_Tij2uz2g/tdFCC75bGtNkQSR~gwighA

Yes if your metadata in in separate file , you could use above method and it has a strict schema def.
