Check Existing Relation ship between two nodes

HI ,

I would like create a relationship between two nodes. but before create relationship i would like to check if there is already exist between the 2 nodes. if the relationship exists we need to delete the old relationship and we need to create a new relationship.

kindly let me know if any has any idea how to implement this
