tFileInputMail takes long time to detach attachment

Just and FYI...

When using tFileInputMail to save an attachment to a network drive, the process ran FOREVER...

When I changed the output to a folder on the local C: drive, it ran quickly.

I just had to use tFileList and tFileCopy to move it from the local folder to a network folder.

You may not experience this issue with your hardware, but I did. We have HyperV hosts with virtual servers and virtual drives.

I am using 6.5.1 TOS

Are you using a relative file path in your output tfileoutputdelimited component?

No, I was using a specific path to the server folder. The file would eventually complete the write to the folder but it took very very long. It may be a file handshaking issue between java (or the component) and the file server.
