Best practice in using shared DB connections

hi,

We have many talend jobs that are mapped as Karaf end points.

The talend jobs all use shared db connections with the same DB connection name.

The jobs have sub jobs, which also have use the same DB connection.

1. Is it right to close the connections, since we are sharing the DB connections?

2. In a multithreaded scenario (when karaf maps 2 routes to the talend job at the same instance in time), will the connection object be shared?

What is the best practice around this?
