Custom Component Parameter changes not showing in Studio

Talend Platform for Data Management 5.6.1

I am working on custom components and have found that parameters added to a component's xml file will not show in the component Basic Settings screen unless I restart Talend Studio.
Publishing the Component changes using "Push Components To Palette", or using CTRL-SHIFT-F3 does not affect the Component Basic Settings screen.
Is there a way to have the new parameters show up without restarting Studio?

With which version you work?
I have not experienced this issue so far. I know changing some bundle text will not work until one restarts the studio but changing the XML file usually works.
What says your log file in workspace/.metadata/.log?

Version: Talend Platform for Data Management 5.6.1.20141207_1530
When I choose "Push Components To Palette"
nothing is written to .log

I am also using Talend DI 5.4.1.r111943 version and having same issue, we have to restart studio every time to see the changes.
