Issues with file encoding using tEDIFACTtoXML

Hello all,

I am encountring a problem with Edifact to XML conversion.

In a conversion job I am reading UTF-8 EDIFACT with the tEDIFACTtoXML component, followed by an tOutputFileXML, with encoding UTF-8 selected in the advanced tab.

Unfortunately all special characters like ä, á and å are not correct in the output.

Does the tEDIFACTtoXML component do any encoding on its own?

I have already made sure and tested that all incoming files are really UTF-8, but the output really looks nasty, no matter what I try (including changing the encoding on tFileOutputXML)

Did you verify that the characters are correct in the source file?

Hi, yes I have checked the original wfiles, which are fine. Also UTF-8

Just a small update.
It seems that it is not a Talend issue, but rather a Glassfish issue.
When Inrun the job directly from Talend the output is OK.

Yes, this is resolved and it was indeed a Glassfish issue, not related to Talend
