I am working on a project for transferring data from a SQL server to Hadoop. I was wondering which version of Talend do I need to download and install. Talend Data Integration or Talend Big Data?

Hi,
You can import data from a SQL server to hadoop using sqoop.
Please take a look at this component reference about:TalendHelpCenter:tSqoopImport which calls Sqoop to transfer data from a relational database management system (RDBMS) such as MySQL or Oracle into the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).
Note:This component is available in the Palette of the Studio only if you have subscribed to one of the Talend solutions with Big Data.
