Locked Excel sheets.

I've been using J. Lolling's components to read Excel sheets that contain locks. This works fine for earlier versions of Excel. Now I need to read newer sheets with locks and J's components don't seem to handle the new format and the default 7.0.1 Community edition Excel components don't work.

What are others doing?
