Hi,
I'm using Talend BIG data platform 5.4.1(Enterprise evaluation copy) and trying to connect to Cloudera cluster which is a 5.0.0 beta2 version.
Following are configurations / setting in Talend
1) Component - tHDFSConnection
settings -
a) Distribution - Cloudera
b) Cloudera version - CDH 4.3+(YARN mode)
c) Namenoe URI - hdfs://ATL10HD9999AS01:8020/
d) username - <ABCXYZ>

2) Component - tHDFSInput
settings -
a) Distribution - Cloudera
b) Cloudera version - CDH 4.3+(YARN mode)
c) Namenoe URI - hdfs://ATL10HD9999AS01:8020/
d) username - <ABCXYZ>
c) FileName - /user/njoshi01/ABC.txt
In case of both components - I'm not able to connect / browse HDFS from Talend open studio. Both components are giving me "Connection failure. You must change the HDFS Settings. Cannot connect to HDFS ""hdfs://AT10HD9999AS01:8020/"". Please check the connection parameters." error.

Questions -
1) Am I doing something wrong?
2) Does Talend 5.4.1 version really support Cloudera 5.0.0 beta2 version?
3) Can I use "Custom - Unsupported" distribution ?

Please consider this as a priority... Thanks

Hi Nishad,
This is a normal connection failure problem... either the server is not running... or there is an improper server configurations... Have you checked the prerequisite section available at https://help.talend.com/search/all?query=tHDFSConnection&content-lang=en

I was able to use Cloudera 5.0 GA with Talend Open Studio 5.4.1 when I selected Hortonworks V2 as my Distribution (even though it is actually Cloudera 5.0).

Also works for me using Hortonworks v2 even though I am using Cloudera 5.0
