Hi Shong,
We are also getting same 'Protocol violation' error in tOracleInput component while running our job from TAC. We are using cjdbc7 with Oracle 12C database version.
Exception in component tOracleInput_3
java.sql.SQLException: Protocol violation
Can anyone help on this ?

Does the problem occur in studio or it only occurs when you execute it from TAC? I searched the exception on internet and found this page, basically, this issue is caused by JDBC driver, to fix it, upgrade the driver to ojdbc7 version 12.1.0.2.
