I was wondering if there is an easy (relatively speaking) way to convert Informatica ETL Jobs to Talend?

I don't thing so. Probably Informatica jobs are saved as XML description files? In this case you can try to interpret them and create Talend Job script (only in the Enterprise version available).
talend use also the xml format to save the jobs but this format is horrible complex.

There is addition in the talend DI called metadata bride, i am not sure whether it is available in TOS.
